I translate French into English. In particular I am experienced in many fields of technical translation, including psychology, engineering, computer science and virtual reality, and am skilled in the language of research papers and technical documentation. I am also able to proof read documents that have already been manually translated by someone else.
I calculate charges for translations on a case-by-case basis, depending on customer requirements. Usually that means a charge per word, with a higher rate for graphic work or if external proof-reading is required. You pay a one-off fee for the completed translation, after which all rights for the work are yours and you are free to publish it as you wish. Advance notice is always preferred, especially in busy periods; though it is, of course, sometimes possible to squeeze things in for tighter deadlines. I impose no limit on the length of work I can translate, either minimum or maximum, however there is a minimum charge of €45 for all projects undertaken.
